I am the owner and founder of With-U Rent A Car. With-U Rent A Car is a Costa Rica Car Rental Company that I formed to enhance customers’ experience when renting cars in Costa Rica and surrounding cities. I have 6 years of working as a mechanic and returns processor for another local Costa Rica car rental company. I started as a mechanic, performing routine maintenance on rental cars. After learning English, I was promoted to the office to coordinate and manage rental returns. Often, when processing returns, I was advised to charge large amounts for damages to cars that didn’t align with the extent of the damage. I felt this was unjust and thought I could improve this experience. As a result, we provide three options to the customers; we allow customers to use their insurance to insure their rental, and as alternatives, you can purchase basic or full insurance protection. With my experience and knowledge working with rental cars, I realized many customers would be surprised due to the significant expense and hidden fees. Many car rental companies do not provide transparent pricing, which impacts the customer experience. I desired to give a solution to this. Often many people work with a budget, and when they inquire about renting a vehicle in Costa Rice or San Jose, I want to provide transparent pricing.
